PIR Center team warmly thanks our friends, partners and colleagues for their kind New Year wishes.

“The goals of modernization are well shared by citizens of Russia. However, the means of modernization are evaluated rather skeptically. Russians almost do not cherish hopes for changing their lives for the better as a result of this modernization. Modernization is an alien notion to most of Russians, people themselves are not ready to actively participate in the modernization,"- Director General of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (Russian abbreviated name VCIOM) Valery Fedorov.
