On June 15, 18:00-19:00 (Moscow time), one day before the Geneva meeting of Presidents Putin and Biden, PIR Center, Vienna Center for Nonproliferation and Disarmament (VCDNP), and Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) will present their recommendations on restoring Russian-U.S. dialogue on arms control and nonproliferation.

On January 23 President Putin suggested to hold a summit of P-5 leaders “in whatever country, in whatever part of the world, which is convenient for colleagues”. The meeting is aimed at discussing the critical mass of challenges in various fields as well regional and global conflict potential so that the P-5 countries step in and put an end to the growth of this critical mass, Putin`s spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov says. The initiative is the leitmotiv of the 520th issue of Yaderny Control bulletin.

Expert on Iran and nuclear nonproliferation. Research Fellow at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies and Chief Strategy Officer at the Institute for International Studies, MGIMO University. He directed Russia and Nuclear Nonproliferation Program (2017-2019) and edited Yaderny Kontrol monthly (2017-2020) at PIR Center. Taught Iran's foreign policy as Visiting Professor at North Ossetian State University (2021) and gave seminars on nuclear nonproliferation as part of short-term training programs at the Ural Federal University (2019). Member of the Youth Chapter of the Russian Pugwash Committee.

Ph.D. Candidate at MGIMO University. In 2018, he graduated from the M.A. Dual Degree Program in Nonproliferation Studies established by MGIMO University, PIR Center, and Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Holds a B.A. degree in International Relations from MGIMO University with major in Iranian Studies. Speaks English and Persian. His research interests include Russia-Iran relations, Iran’s nuclear program, NPT review process, Russia’s arms control and nonproliferation policies, data analysis in international relations. 12/21
